Chessiecap, Inc. is looking for qualified candidates for a senior level Software Developer position. The successful candidate will be responsible for working as a Sr. Developer helping to deliver quality software products at a large financial regulatory organization. The successful candidate will be working on re-architecting and enhancing software products, be a resource for other developers in the organization guiding them through software lifecycles using software best practices.

Candidates must possess skills and have experience with developing web-based application using J2EE technology, XML, and relational databases.

This position requires the staff member to be located in the metro Washington DC area.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience of:
• OO design and development
• Hard-core Java development
• 3+ years of experience with the following technologies:
• Java (J2EE, JSP, Servlets, Struts)
• XML
• Experience with the following technologies:
• Web-based applications
• SOAP
• Ant
• SQL
• Oracle
• Unix/Linux
• Agile software development practices
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Product development methodologies
• Experience using software development best practices
• Experience using open source technologies

Education:

• Bachelors degree in computer science or related field
